An American actor, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He married Blanche Valarie Soules (1935-1945), but their marriage ended in divorce. Al Bridge's most notable works include The Miracle of Morgan's Creek (1943), The Sin of Harold Diddlebock (1947), Hail the Conquering...Read more Hero (1944), and Sullivan's Travels (1941). Al Bridge was a prolific actor from the silent era of cinema, but most of his work was in the sound era, playing small roles in Westerns, playing sheriffs and crooked policemen. He fought in the US Army during World War I and worked in vaudeville as a teenager, working with touring theater companies. When sound was introduced to film, he began his film career in B-westerns, comedies, and dramas, and had a small role on television when it aired in the late 1940s. He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on December 27, 1957, of heart disease and emphysema, at the age of 66.
