She was a British actress, born in Perthshire, Scotland, UK. She graduated from Morrison's Academy in Crieff, Scotland, UK. She also attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At the age of 20, she played lead roles on the classical stage. She appeared in supporting roles on TV productions from the 1930s to the 1950s. She is known for her role in The Return of the Scarlet Pimpernel (1937). Her notable roles were in plays on the West End stage such as A Sleeping Clergyman (1933), Lady from Edinburgh (1945), and The Human Touch (1948).
