An American actress, born on February 8, 1973, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She was raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and is the eldest of four siblings. Her family moved to Florida, where she received her BFA from Florida State University and received the highest honors from the Golden Key National Honors Society. She also holds a master's degree from Yale School of Drama. She started her acting career in 2001 and is known for Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase (2019), House of Cards (2017), and Black Lightning (2018-2020).
