An American actress of South Korean descent, born in Seoul, South Korea. She was adopted by an American family. Growing up in Wisconsin, United States, Ryu studied cinema, specializing in cinematography before she became an actress. Ryu's debut in feature films was through the movie Remember Me (2019), and she also appeared in the series The Space Between (2022).
