Indian film actress and singer, born in inVaranasi, India. She was the mother of Bollywood actor Govinda. She began acting in the movie Savera (1942), with her husband Arun. Her works include Gaali (1944) and Wafadaar (1985), and she sang in films such as Bawarchi (1972).
