Turkish director and writer born on May 29, 1984 in Izmir, Turkey. He graduated from the Cinema and TV Department at Bilgi University in Istanbul. He is the brother of actor Şahan Gökbakar. He is known for the Recep İvedik film series. He won Most Promising Director for Gen (2006) in Adana Film Festival.
