An American journalist and writer, born on November 10, 1958, in Utica, New York, USA. Danner is a former staff writer for The New Yorker and a frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books. He joined Utica Free Academy, after which he graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a degree in modern literature and aesthetics in 1981. He has been a Professor of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley, since 2000. His credits include The Age of Czeslaw Milosz (2012) and Rush to War (2004).
