A British-American actress who was born in London, England, United Kingdom, as Rene Isabel Riano. She married the American John W. Neil in 1918 and had a daughter, Jane. Her most important works include Nancy Drew: Detective (1938), Jiggs and Maggie in Society (1947), and Jiggs and Maggie Out West (1950). She built her comedic reputation on the stage and entered the cinematic field when she was 38 years old. She was the daughter of the theatrical actress Irene Riano and the vaudeville acrobat Robert Riano. In 1905, at the age of 6, she made her solo Broadway stage debut. She met the American John W. Neil in 1918 and became an American citizen. She continued to do stage performances until 1937. Her film debut was in My Dear Miss Aldrich (1937). She appeared in famous series as a guest, the last of which was The Partridge Family (1971). She died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA on July 3, 1971.
