An American actor, born in Brattleboro, Vermont, on May 5, 1926. Among his most notable work: The Horse Soldiers (1959), Tango & Cash (1989), and Dick Tracy (1990). Bing Russell graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in business administration, and worked in the early fifties in film and television. He is best known for his roles in the series Bonanza (1959) and in the movie The Magnificent Seven (1960). His first appearance was in The Living Christ Series (1951). He died in Thousand Oaks, California, on April 8, 2003 of cancer.
