An American actor, born in Brooklyn, New York, USA, on April 21, 1916, as Sidney Richard Clute. Among his most important works are Battlestar Galactica (1979), McCloud (1972-1977), And Justice for All (1979), and Kojak (1973-1977). He was a prolific film and television actor who played supporting and minor roles, such as a policeman, doctor, reporter, driver, clerk, painter, mechanic, bartender, and waiter. Sidney Clute concluded his career with the series Cagney & Lacey (1981-1988), where he participated in 124 episodes over a period of 7 years. He passed away at the age of 69 in Los Angeles, California, USA, on October 2, 1985, of cancer.
