An American actress and activist born on July 28, 1947 in Portland. Her maternal grandparents were Norwegian immigrants. Her father abandoned the family when she was about 9 years old, after which her single mother raised her in the Concordia neighborhood of northeastern Portland. She pursued an acting career after high school. She eventually moved to Los Angeles and got trained at Pasadena Playhouse College of Theater Arts. She received a scholarship as the "Most Promising Student". She began acting in the 1970's and acted in several films and series, such as Family, Gilmore Girls, and Telspin. She worked in light TV films in the 1970s. She is known for Aloha Means Goodbye (TV Movie 1974), Hey, I'm Alive (1975), The Great Houdini (1976), My Pair Is Missing (1978), and Your Name is Jonah (1979).
