An English actress who was born in St. George Hanover Square, London, England, United Kingdom on September 13, 1912 and died in Bracknell, Berkshire, England, United Kingdom on October 12, 1980. His most important works include Room at the Top (1959), Expresso Bongo (1959), Tales From Dickens (1959), and Life at the Top (1965). She was a British actress of theatre, film, television, and radio and one of the last great theatrical aristocrats. She was also an elegant comedian best known for performances on stage and screen. She played Lady Macbeth on stage at the age of 19, and on screen, she usually played dominant, aggressive or condescending roles. She died in 1980 at the age of 68.
