An American actor, born in La Harp, Illinois, USA, on February 28, 1909. He was married to Norma Elizabeth Miller (1929-1992), and they had two children, and she remained with him until her death. Among his most important works are: Captain Midnight (1954-1956), The Towering Inferno (1974), Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979), and The Batman / Superman Hour (1968-1969). He died in Los Angeles, on February 1, 1994, of lung cancer.
