An American producer, actress, writer, and acting coach, born on February 27, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Susan began her acting career at Adele Thane's Boston Children's Theater. She is a graduate of the Theater Arts Program at Emerson College. Moreover, she got a John Hay Whitney Fellowship to study in New York with Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagen, and Herbert Berghof. Susan Batson is a member of the Actors Studio. She received a New York Drama Critics Award, an LA Drama Critics Award, and an Obie Award. She has consulted with film director and screenwriter Spike Lee on a number of his movies. Her notable works include Summer of Sam (1999), Bamboozled (2000), and Battleship (2012).
