She is a British actress. She trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art before becoming an actress at the Sheffield Repertory Theatre, the York Theatre Royal, and the Theatre in the Round. She also played lead roles at the Royal Court Theatre and other West End theatres. She is known for Outland (1981), Conviction (2004), and Funny Man (1981). She was married to Dominic Guard, with whom she had two children.
