A British actress, born in Sheffield, England, UK. She trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art before becoming an actress at the Sheffield Repertory Theatre, the York Theatre Royal, and the Theatre-in-the-Round. She also played lead roles at the Royal Court Theatre and other West End theaters. She is known for Outland (1981), Conviction (2004), and Funny Man (1981). She married Dominic Guard, with whom she has two children.
