An American actor, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on March 9, 1879, and died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA on September 20, 1935. Among his most important works are Street Scene (1931), Horse Feathers (1932), and She Done Him Wrong (1933). David Landau studied law at the University of Pennsylvania. He later abandoned his studies, and appeared in plays on and off Broadway, before making his film debut in I Take This Woman (1931). David Landau died of a stroke at the age of 56.
