An American actor, born in San Francisco, California, on October 26, 1866, and died in Newburgh, New York, on May 18, 1951. Among his most important works are: The Littlest Rebel (1935), Captain Blood (1935), and The Plainsman (1936). He obtained his law degree from the University of California. After two years of practicing law, he took acting as a profession and worked in theater in New York, and in 1911, he began his career in silent films as an actor and director. His film debut was in Nell's Last Deal (1911). He continued his film career after sound was introduced into films. His first talkie was Good News (1930), in addition to his theatrical work on Broadway. Frank McGlynn, Sr. passed away at the age of 84.
