An American actress, director, and comedian, born in Winter Park, Florida, USA and was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Park High School and graduated in 1976. She then went to Southern Birmingham College and Harris Youth College, where she earned a Diploma in Arts. She moved to New York where she studied acting with Sanford Meisner. She also studied directing at the American Film Institute and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Her initial success came with the TV series All My Children (1982-1983). Her other credits include Fright Night (1985) and Married... with Children (1987-1997).
