An American actor and singer, born as Thurl Arthur Ravenscroft, in Norfolk, Nebraska, USA. He won the Winsor McCay Award in 2004. He married June Seamans (1946-1999), they had two children, and she remained with him until her death. He graduated from Norfolk High School and worked as a navigator in the US Air Transport Command in World War ll before settling in Hollywood. He participated in countless advertisements in English and Spanish, and he also voice-acted in Walt Disney's animated films. Among his notable works are One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961), The Aristocats (1970), and The Brave Little Toaster (1987). He died of prostate cancer in Fullerton, California, USA, on May 22, 2005.
