American singer, musician, and actress, born on May 6, 1906, in Ohio, USA. She participated with her older brother Jack in vaudeville theatrical performances before she got married to the musician Frederick Tupper. She opened an art school in Queens, New York State. She is known for The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) and The House of God (1984). She died on September 16, 1990, in New York City, the United States, from cancer.
