A retired American politician and businessman. He was born in Chicago on July 9, 1932. His father was a real estate salesman and joined the Navy during World War II. As a child, Rumsfeld was in scouts and loved wrestling. He served as the 13th Secretary of Defense from 1975 to 1977 with the President Gerald Ford, and then became the 21st Secretary of Defense from 2001 to 2006 with the President George W. Bush. He was the youngest to hold this position. Rumsfeld was famous for overseeing the US response to the September 11, 2001 attacks, but his popularity eventually declined due to the violence that happened during the Iraq invasion. He passed away on June 29, 2021 at the age of 88. He participated in the 2004 movie Fahrenheit 9/11.
