An American actress, born on December 16, 1946, in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA. Dori studied at Sarah Lawrence College and Yale School of Drama. She was the younger sister of award-winning writer Ellen Levine. Mada Levine Liebman, her other sister, was a senior advisor to US Senators Frank Lautenberg and Jon Corzine. Brenner made her Broadway debut in "Unlikely Heroes," while her screen debut was in Summer Wishes, Winter Dreams (1973). She is best known for Altered States (1980), Baby Boom (1987), and The Charmings (1987-1988). She died on September 16, 2000, in Los Angeles, California, due to complications from cancer.
