A German actor born in Berlin, on November 9, 1926. He was married to Marian Klein (1953-1988), who remained with him until her death. Among his most important works: Stalingrad (1993), Morituri (1965) and Der Laden (1998). He died of cancer in Bavaria, Germany on January 31, 2000.
