An American actor, he was born in Flint on September 13, 1920. He is an American character actor in the forties and fifties, often in daring and reckless roles. He made 10 films. He appeared on television as an actor and writer in many series. Charles Smith's first film was Nancy Drew. His major works: Henry Aldrich Haunts a House (1943), The Shop Around the Corner (1940) and the Everglades! (1962). He died of a heart attack in 1988 at the age of 68.
