A British actor, born on July 17, 1940, in Buxton, Derbyshire, England, United Kingdom, as Timothy Julian Brooke-Taylor. His works include The Goodies (1970), At Last the 1948 Show (1967), and Engelbert with the Young Generation (1972). He studied law at Pembroke College, the University of Cambridge, exchanging notes with his friend, comedian John Cleese, who was also studying law. From 1980 to 1983, he was the rector of the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Tim was appointed OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2011 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to light entertainment. He died on April 12, 2020, in Cookham, Berkshire, England, United Kingdom.
