British actor born in Rochdale, London, England, on April 7, 1922 as Christopher Ryle Adcock. He is known for Treasure Island (1950). He first appeared in minor roles in the late 1940's and often played the roles of soldiers, sailors or working class men. He debuted in I Was a Male War Bride (1949) and his last film appearance was in Carry on Loving (1970). He died in 1988, at the age of 75.
