An American actor who was born in Indiana, USA. He married Harriette Mathews in 1934. He is known for Clipped Wings (1937), The King of the Kongo (1929), and The Lodge in the Wilderness (1926). He worked during the silent era of Hollywood cinema, and he appeared in more than 600 American films in supporting roles. He worked in dramatic, comedic, romantic, adventure, and Western films. He died in Woodland Hills in Los Angeles, California, USA on February 15, 1951.
