An American actor born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He married two wives and had one child. His most important works include The Lost World (1960), Atlantis: The Lost Continent (1961), and Harum Scarum (1965). He worked in radio, film, and television. He was known for doing varied accents, such as Mexican, Spanish, Greek, and Italian. Born to Italian immigrant parents, he mastered Italian before learning English. He also learned some German and Greek, worked in theater, and worked in radio as a dialect specialist. He went to Hollywood to do radio work and played small roles in films, in addition to many television works. He mostly played small parts in films as well as comedic roles. His first work was The Jade Box (1930), and his last work was The Domino Principle (1977). He died in North Hollywood, California, USA on September 2, 1982 of lung cancer.
