An English actress born in St. Pancras, London, UK. Her career spanned over 5 decades. She trained at RADA in 1937 and appeared in several plays and musicals, her last being in 1974 on the West End. She made her onscreen debut on the film The Corn Is Green (1946). Her other works include Laughter in Paradise (1951), Department S (1969), and Tears for Simon (1956). She married actor, director, and producer Leonard Sachs (1947-1990) and they had two children. She died on 13 July 2001 in Westminster, London, UK.
