Irish actor and writer, born in Curragh, Ireland on January 31, 1887. He got married to Kathryn Jolly (1915-1969), and she remained with him until his death. He worked in the Irish theater before emigrating to the United States to work in the theater. His first film appearance was in King of Jazz (1930). Among his important works are: Bomba: The Jungle Boy (1949), Shadows on the Stairs (1941), and Hell Below (1933). He died in Woodland Hills Los Angeles, on January 12, 1969 of cancer.
