A British director and writer, born on June 29, 1938, in London, England, United Kingdom. He was a distinguished professor of Film and Television at UCLA. He co-wrote, with Mark Peploe, The Passenger (1975). Wollen studied English at Christ Church, Oxford. Among his works are Amy! (1979), Riddles of the Sphinx (1977), and Crystal Gazing (1982). He died on December 17, 2019, in Haslemere, Surrey, England, United Kingdom.
