A British actor born in Edmonton, London, on September 17, 1908. He is a British actor who worked in the United States of America in theatre, film and television. His father was a musician in England, and his classmate was Charlie Chaplin. His family emigrated to the United States while Bernard was an infant. He worked in vaudeville and mobile theatres, until the beginning of the forties, where he worked in cinema in additional roles. His first work was Nice Girl? (1941) and his latest work is Columbo (1989). His most important works: Crazy Knights (1944), Elmer (1976), The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet (1958). He died in 1993 at the age of 84.
