American actor born in Canton, Ohio, US on 7 May 1906. He made his acting debut on stage in New York in 1936. He later taught drama and directed plays at the American Wing Theater. His onscreen debut was an episode on the series The Ford Theatre Hour (1950). His most notable works include Creepshow (1982), Getting Straight (1970), and The Twilight (1960-1963). He died of cancer on 19 March 1986 in Burbank, California, US.
