American actress, born on February 20, 1983, in Evanston, United States. She was born into a family of actors, as her parents and her three siblings are actors. She attended Evanston Township High School where she first developed an interest in theatre, she then went on to major in Musical Theatre at Syracuse University. After that, she returned to Chicago where she pursued her career in theater from the years 2005 to 2011 during which time she played an incredible array of roles. In 2014, she won a Tony Award for playing Carole King in the biographical musical "Beautiful".
