A British actor born in London, on July 10, 1919. He was married to Patricia Gordon Black (1948-2009), they had two children, and she remained with him until his death. He is an English opera and concert singer, actor, and broadcaster of Scottish origin. He left law for theatre, was an actor in musicals and dramas. In the Second World War, he joined the Royal Artillery, but was expelled after a motorcycle accident. After his return he had tuberculosis in the spine, so he was permanently excluded from the army in 1944, to appear in the professional theater Little Mark in Glasgow. His most important works are: On Such a Night (1956), Dentist in the Chair (1960), and Alice in Wonderland (1986). He died in 2009 at the age of 90.
