A Canadian-American environmental activist, born in Toronto, Canada. He founded an environmental protection organization, published several books, and directed several documentaries that supported his cause of protecting the environment and animal rights and opposing the use of nuclear weapons. He appeared in the film At the Edge of the World (2008).
