American actor born in Minsk, on January 2, 1887. He made a large number of films in small roles, his first appearance was in the silent film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1916), and his first sound movie was The Fighting Champ (1932). Among his most important works are: Schlitz Playhouse (1959), A Five Foot Ruler (1917), and North of the Rockies (1942). He died in Los Angeles, on February 18, 1974.
