An American actor, born in Los Angeles, California, USA, as John Joseph Brooks Jr. He married Betty Jean Davis (1948-1991), they had four children, and she remained with him until her death. He is known for F Troop (1965-1967), Love, American Style (1972), Gremlins (1984), and Rawhide (1962-1963). He became an actor after graduating from high school. The first movie in which he spoke was The Fighting Seabees (1944) with John Wayne. After making several films, he joined the army, fighting in the South Pacific, then returned to California. He spent most of his career playing small roles until he was called to the role of the sight-impaired lookout in the TV series F Troop (1965-1967), where he participated in 47 episodes. His last movie was Eye of the Tiger (1986), and he stopped working until he died in Los Angeles, California, USA on December 5, 2007.
