An American actress who was born in Middletown, Ohio, USA on August 30, 1905 as Sarah Elizabeth Selby and died in Los Angeles, California, USA on January 17, 1980 of cancer. She married and got two children. Her most important works include Tower of London (1962), Beyond the Forest (1949), and The Hardy Boys (1956). She was a graceful, black-haired American actress who played secondary roles, usually an aunt or a teacher. She began her career as a radio actress and made her film debut with her voice in the motion picture films Dumbo (1941). Her first cinematic appearance was in The Seventh Victin (1943). She died of cancer at the age of 74.
