An American actress who was born in Middletown, Ohio, USA as Sarah Elizabeth Selby. She married twice and had two children. Her works include Tower of London (1962), Beyond the Forest (1949), and The Hardy Boys (1956). She played supporting roles, usually an aunt or a teacher. She began her career as a radio actress and made her film debut with her voice in the animated film Dumbo (1941). Her first cinematic appearance was in The Seventh Victin (1943). She died in Los Angeles, California, USA on January 17, 1980 of cancer.
