An American actress, born in Los Angeles, California, USA, as Carol Annette Sydes. She was nominated for a Golden Laurel Award in 1964 for Top Female New Face. She married two times and had two children. Her most important works include Gidget Goes to Rome (1963), Cape Fear (1962), The New Loretta Young Show (1962), and Mike Hammer (1959). She was a theater, film, and television actress, and her father was an English language teacher who encouraged her to work in acting. She practiced acting in the school theater and attended North Hollywood High School. Her first movie appearance was in the movie Good Morning, Miss Dove (1955), and she worked in cinema, television, and theater until she got married and retired. Her last appearance was in the series Never Too Young (1965).
