British actor born in Aldershot, Hampshire, UK on 1 September 1907. He appeared in supporting roles in British film and cinema in the 1930s and 1940s and then travelled to the US to appear in works there in the '50s and '60s. His most notable works include Time Flies (1944), The Crimson Pirate (1952), and Lady Godiva of Coventry (1955). His last appearance was on the series The Young Rebels (1970). He married Dorothy Ruth Rose and had one child. He died on 20 July 1974 in Desert Hot Springs, California, US.
