She was a British actress, born as Mary Haydon Stone. She appeared after the war in several productions. She studied at the Royal College of Music and later earned an acting scholarship at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She made her first stage appearance in 1945 on the West End and won a Gertrude Lawrence Award for "Character Acting." She is known for her roles in Brighton Rock (1947), Berserk (1967), The Nineteenth Hole (1989), and Carry on Behind (1975). She was married to the actor and producer Peter Noble, with whom she had two children. She died at the age of 87 on December 21, 2009, in London, England, UK.
