American actor, born in Los Angeles, California, United States of America as Galen Laius Gering. He was brought up by hippie parents; he was born to Michele de Oñate, an artist, and Alan Gering, a sculptor. At the age of 18, he moved to New York City to start a modeling career and finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, where he studied creative writing and film. He graduated in May 1999. He married Jenna Gering, and they have two children and have acted together. He is known for Passions (1998-1999), Miss Match (2003), and Venice the Series (2009-2016).
