A British athlete and actor, born on June 23, 1877, in Kolkata, Bengal Presidency, British India, as Norman Gilbert Pritchard. His works include The Wizard (1927), Beau Geste (1926), and Jane Eyre (1921). From 1893 to 1900, he was ranked as the best sportsman in India. He was a member of the British Olympic team in the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris. As an athlete, he has received 120 awards and medals, including an award for Best Physique. He died on October 31, 1929, in Norwalk, California, USA.
