Irish-American actor, born on January 8, 1888, in Ireland. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for his film career. He starred in films in silent cinema, and since the mid-1930s has been prolific in supporting roles. He immigrated to the United States with his brothers on a ship in 1896, and they all went on to successful film careers. He made his first silent film debut, Tangled Relations (1912). Among his important works are: The Squealer (1930), Rain (1932), and The Unholy Three (1925). He died in Hollywood, on January 20, 1960.
