A British actor, born on 17 June 1918 in Lisbon, Portugal. His most notable works include Arabesque (1966), The Quatermass Experiment (1953), The Adventures of Quentin Durward (1955), and Quatermass and the Pit (1967). He married actress Patricia Driscoll and they had two children. He died of a heart attack on 19 December 1978 in Kent, England, UK.
