A Japanese actor, born on November 4, 1947, in Koriyama, Fukushima, Japan. He is known for Tsuribaka nisshi 14 (2003) and Emperor (2012). In 1994, he won the Award of the Japanese Academy for Best Actor for Gakko and Tsuribaka nisshi 6. He also won the Blue Ribbon Award for Best Actor for Get Up! and Tsuribaka nisshi 14 in 2004.
