She is a Canadian-American writer, producer, director, and actress. She was born in Winnipeg, Canada. She went to St. John's High School and the University of Winnipeg. Later, she moved to the USA, where she attended the American Film Institute. She is known for Madagascar: A Little Wild (2021), Odd Squad (2020), and Mulholland Dr. (1999).
