British actress born in London. She was married to Frederick William Proctor (1937-1941) and their marriage ended in divorce. She worked for a short period in the American cinema, in which she provided supporting and additional roles such as mother, maid, hostess, prisoner, and aristocratic woman. Her acting debut was with Plymouth Adventure in 1952. Among her most important works are: Botany Bay (1952), Titanic (1953) and Daddy Long Legs (1955). Her last film was The Rains of Ranchipur in 1955. She died in 1973 of a heart attack at the age of 67.
