An English actor, born in Burnley, Lancashire, England, UK, in 1953. He studied at Rosehill Junior School. Afterward, he became a bookseller and martial arts teacher in the city, spending most of his previous life in the martial arts world as a fighter and teacher, which led him to work in independent films. In 1983, he was hired as a fight choreographer in the British action film G.B.H., in which he was also asked to play one of the villains. He went on to participate in 5 other low-budget independent works. Finally, in 1988, he got the lead role in The Assassinator. Moreover, Saint Ryan worked in regional and West End theaters. He then co-starred in a number of British television series and continued to work in television shows, films, and commercials, most notably the television series Roar, starring Heath Ledger. Saint Ryan established Galloping Gelding Productions and has made many documentaries about his favorite equestrian Tom Dorrance. He married Joyce and has three children, one of whom is lighting director Samuel Barker. Among his works are Out of the Wild (2019), The Butcher (2009), and Roar (1997).
